“Where are you nau?!” called out the fat woman again from inside the changing cubicle.
“I will be there in a moment ma!” followed my reply, as I pulled shut the glass sliding front door to my elder brother’s lingerie shop! It was already past 9pm and from what I could see around, virtually all shops on the road had closed down for the day despite the festivities. Unfortunately, I had to delay a bit hoping this seemingly last customer, will quickly purchase a wear and leave; but she hadn’t and was still endlessly needing my attention.
“And please bring me a larger mirror o, this one can’t let me see a thing!” she suddenly yelled again from the cubicle! Her English was just too good for how she looked. A common trait with the average Lagos resident – you can never tell the learned from how they appeared

“Okay ma.” was my own reply as I finally shut the door, leaving both of us locked in. We were going to leave from the service door behind anyways. After picking up the larger mirror from where it was hung on a high shelf, I began walking down the hall to go meet the customer.
My brother, Chime’s shop was that big. It was actually six shops collapsed into one! The largest in the vicinity. He was so lucky to have been told of the availability of all six of them, and as soon as he got the information, he quickly bought them up at once! Talk of the average Ibo man’s business acumen. And it paid off handsomely! He became an instant rival to all the lingerie shop owners along that road and more like chased them out of business. He soon became the only dealer of brassieres, panties, undies and anything female lingerie! And many customers came from far and wide. His success was unprecedented and soon he began doing wonders back home at Onitsha, our hometown. I was still there as at then, and it was just after he bought his fifth landed property that he asked me come over to Lagos to join him. Not as a trader though, but to come school I was always the brilliant one among us – we were three boys. And did continue with academics. It wasn’t really easy getting through Jamb initially, but I was quite surprised even though fortunate to eventually secure an admission finally at Lagos State University. So this was how I moved to Lagos for study, even though I had to occasionally assist him at his shop, where he now had over 8 sales girls and boys.
This very day was one such days and I had moved straight from lectures to come assist in the trading for the day. It was a very busy day, basically because of the Xmas season, and despite his presence and mine alongside the 8 additional sales persons, we were continually overwhelmed by visiting costumers! It was just overtly hectic and we had to repeatedly ask some people to momentarily wait outside. That was how difficult it was for everyone. Yet it continued that way until sometime around 7pm, before we began having some respite. Chime dismissed the sales girls and boys earlier than normal just to allow them return home to rest. He also left me with some instructions and drove off with his car. He was obviously not done with the day as he needed to go pick up some of his wears that were moved to a nearby cloth factory for a bit of stitching here and there – they were shipped in with a few tears and needed amending. As for me, I was to close the shop by 9pm after attending to any other costumers that may still call in. It was just a few minutes to the said 9pm, when this very lady costumer walked in.

NEW JERSEY’S TRAIN GRAVEYARD

In the waters of the coast of New Jersey lie two huge locomotives, which explorers believe were in transit aboard a ship and must have fallen overboard during a storm. Because they have been underwater for more than 160 years, the locomotives are surprisingly well preserved.

 SS THISTLEGORM

The SS Thistlegorm was a British merchant navy ship that sunk in the Red Sea in 1941. On its way to resupply Allied troops in Egypt, the ship was attacked and sunk by German warplanes. Jacques-Yves Cousteau discovered the wreck in the 1950s, and it is now a popular scuba diving site.

A teenager has died after jumping into a canal located in Middleton, Manchester, England, with his friends, in a bid to overcome his fear of water. The 13 year-old victim, Flavio Rafael Pizarro, died in hospital nine days after he was pulled out of the canal.

He gave the gift of life to an
other in the hospital by donating his organs, with the permission of his family and doctors prior to his death.

There are no warning signs in the area of the Rochdale Canal, Middleton, Manchester, where Rafael had

A randy school teacher has been exposed after he was caught red-handed having s*x with a pupil in the bush. The incident took place near a bush at the Rugare primary school in Gokwe North of Zimbabwe where the man is a teacher.
B-Metro reports that the teacher identified as Lonias Hove and the girl whose name has been withheld for legal reasons were busted by other pupils of the school in the act.
It was alleged that people have been suspecting the love affair between the two lovebirds before they were caught. According to a source, the pupil was once seen by other pupils shoving her hand into the teacher’s pair of trousers while repeatedly playing with his manhood.
On the day the two were caught, Hove extended the invitation to the girl to meet him in the bush claiming they were just going to chat. While in the bush one thing is said to have led to another when the two lovebirds ended up allegedly engaging in sexual intercourse apparently with the belief that no one was watching them.
“They were not aware, that some suspicious pupils who had spotted them sneaking into the bush had followed them at a distance in a bid to catch them in the act. While in the act, the pupils approached and asked them what they were doing. Out of shame the teacher ran away before those pupils who busted him went and reported the matter confronted the teacher leading the matter to come to the school authorities’ attention,”said a source who requested anonymity for fear of victimisation.
When reached for comment He dismissed the allegations saying it was a smear campaign by his rivals meant to tarnish his image.
“It’s not true. Those allegations are being spread by people who want to tarnish my image. Following the rumours the parents of the girl that I am alleged to have slept with approached me on two different occasions and told them the allegations were not true. Honestly, I did not do that. I think people suspected that I am seeing pupil after I bought her some biscuits together with three other girls after they successfully recited the national pledge,”he said.
Meanwhile, the school headmaster, Obert Utete confirmed the incident and said investigations were in progress.
“The matter is still under investigation. I am still waiting for the report from the investigations committee and once they are complete I will forward the investigations to the district education’s office who will then forward them to the provincial education director’s office who will be in a position to furnish you with details of what would have happened,”said Utete.

Harrysong Spits Bitter Truth About His Split From Five StAR MUSIC

One of the simmering news to start this week is the departure of singer Harrysong from former label Five Music.
While that is still very hot and trending, there is more juice about Harrysong exit from Five Star Music. The “Reggae Blues” crooner had some “itchy truth” as to why he left his former record label after his contract expired. The Delta state born singer made some very uncomfortable revelations on Planet TV interview.
Harrysong first of all cleared the air that “ALTER PLATE” is not a record label but his music company. Now the real reason he quit Five Music is lack of appreciation.
Harrysong gave an inside on his services at Five Music. He said he did most of the song writing, vocal coaching, he was also the music director while at the label.
However,  he said his efforts was not appreciated. Harrysong is quoted to have said “Your helping someone who knows nothing and the person is feeling like he is helping you.”

Haven moved on from Five Star Music to set up his own imprint “Altar Plate“, Harrysong, spoke with The Cable Lifestyle about his exit from his former label. He also made it known that he wrote majority of the songs released by Five Star Music acts.
“I have learnt all through the years from Question mark to Five Star, my contract expired at Five Star and I progressed to open Altar Plate, there is no beef or quarrel. This is what I want to do and I am doing it.
When I was signed under Five Star, I wrote majority of the songs but my departure from Five Star does not mean that it would crumble.
They have talented people like Kcee, Skibii and Xbusta. I came in with my own sound and I have left with my sound. They have their own sound and they will go with that.”
As regards his newly flagged record label, the Better Pikin singer has made it clear that Five Star Music has no input in Altar Plate.
He said; “Five Star is not contributing Altar Plate, this is all about Harrysong. We have our website and our social media platform to keep fans updated about our activities.

He said; “Five Star is not contributing Altar Plate, this is all about Harrysong. We have our website and our social media platform to keep fans updated about our activities.
There is no possibility of returning to Five Star. My contract has expired and I have started Altar Plate so there is no going back but I will always appreciate them. If I am called upon to do anything, maybe write a song, I will.
As usual, a new record label needs to grow and new signees are in sight. Harrysong spoke on signing acts especially females.
“We have female artistes that are doing well in the industry, a lot of them and maybe I will try one as we progress. If we need one, we will get one.”

How Technology is Enabling Smart Cities around the World: Will Nigeria Ever Catch up?

How Technology is Enabling Smart Cities around the World: Will Nigeria Ever Catch up?

Image result for nigerian flag
“For developing countries in Africa like Nigeria, not only our mobile phones should be Smart, our cities ought to be smart too, for me this is the challenge of the government at different levels”
While many cities are becoming ‘smart’ enabling development that makes life easy for her people to move around from one place to another, access government services with ease. The state of infrastructural development in Nigeria is yet to improve over these years. This is something of a great concern to many Nigerians. Will Nigeria ever catch up with these trends?
These poor infrastructures in the country cripples economic development in different ways. New Technologies like Green Tech and Internet of Things (IoT) have come to make life a lot easier and why are Nigerian government not looking at ways in which Technology can make cities run effectively, efficiently and productively. This the focus of Smart cities around the world.
Ever thought of driving home from work in Lagos with no traffic jam, using your navigation devices and your phone sends you real time traffic reports and suggests alternative and best routes for you. And then when you see potholes on the road, or accident your car sensor sends report to your smartphone and then you send an email to the government agency responsible for fixing that. Not only that, you also have the choice of actually using the rail services in place to connect within the city and out of the city. This is what is obtainable in other countries long before now. Each day in Lagos, one is actually faced with the challenge of how to get from point A to point B within the city and catch up with appointments on time. It is becoming increasingly difficult moving around the city because of the heavy traffic jam that is a major characteristics of the city. This is a major challenge for individuals, businesses and organizations. It has actually reduced efficiency and productivity in different areas you might want to look at it from even life expectancy of people living in Lagos.
Just like the jingles and echoes of celebrating the 100 years of Nigeria is being led by the government and I begin to wonder while traversing the length and breadth of other cities in the country, if Nigerians really have something to look forward to.
I am not surprised to read recently that Nigeria is ranked one of the top countries as a failed state. Having visited some countries, am not sure of any country where people live the way we do. The poor state of infrastructure in Nigeria is something worrisome and leaves you thinking if we actually have had any government in place all these years. Many times I ask myself, how did the country degenerate to this level. Deep rooted corruption brought us where we are right now.
While many countries are advancing in the use of technology to improve the way people live and do business, Nigeria is yet to wake up to this.
Several weeks ago in Dubai, I heard the ruler of Dubai promise his people that Dubai is on her way to becoming a smart city. I was wondering how smart can the city become again with all they already have on ground-great roads and transport networks, great infrastructure, full e-government, great economy just name it.
It shows that countries are continuously upgrading and improving their infrastructure with technology trends and globalization. With all of these, sometimes grouping Africa as adeveloping or emerging market with the Middle East and places like Dubai isn’t fair, we are yet to wake up to the realities and opportunities technology can bring to a developing nation like ours. How does a city become Smart? It is unfortunate that Nigeria with her huge material and human resources over these years cannot boast of her cities with modern infrastructure and public utilities. Government services are yet to get online. We are really behind in technology advancement. Just as most countries are making their cities work with Smart technologies that make live easy and secured, only our mobile phones are beginning to get smarter and that is what is being celebrated in terms of technology advancement in Nigeria. There is a lot to be desired.
The truth is no city ever advances in Technology and Innovation without laying the foundation for that. Technology development does not just happen, it needs a well thought-out plan and strategy for implementation. This is the challenge of Nigerian government at all levels.
One of the most obvious benefit of a smart city is safety. A smart city provides safety of lives and property in a unique way that makes people want to live and do business there. The use of cameras, sensors and data captured by machines around the cities in real time are useful for security control and that provide 24 hours real-time surveillance. Just achieving this in major cities of the country will greatly reduce the incidence of crime and insecurity in the country.
Smart City Africa\

I don’t have to say much on the benefits of a smart city, the government already knows what a smart city looks like as they travel all over the world. The truth is with a smart city the burden of governance is reduced and the city becomes efficient and effective. The question still remains- Will Nigeria ever catch up?

The excitement that lit her face when I gave her the package was nothing compared to the exhilaration when she unwrapped it. Even though she had tried to hide it from me, I knew she really needed a phone and so I got one. I watched, a little proud of myself as she inspected the gift. She couldn’t hide the feeling.
I could relate. The first shock that hits you when you hold the Gionee P5 Mini in your hands is its semblance with the seeming images in previews that seemed out of this world. The stylish curves of metal and glass create a perfect symmetry within the ambit of 132mm by 66mm and 9.1mm. I had chosen the white one, it was her best colour and it added a purity that you could feel.
She said that she loved me, that she was very grateful, I smiled. “It seemed like a small phone but by many standards, the P5mini is spectacular.”
“Tell me about it” she requested

“Its 4.5-inch screen may not be too much when you are talking about quantity but it is brandished with the latest technology on touch screen (on-cell) and display (in-plane switching). The on-cell is a touch screen technology that reduces the thickness of display by placing the sensor directly on the lenses. The in-plane switching ensures the clean and sharp display from whatever angle the screen is viewed.”
She looked at me and urged me to go on.
The Gionee P5 Mini employs the DTS technology to bring users an unforgettable experience of sound and music. It has a volume strengthening mode which takes the volume of the phone speakers beyond its limits and above the last crank, to deliver a valuable extra. It has a shake-and-change-the-music-feature that works.”
With that, she picked up the phone as if to check the things that I was saying. I let her. Then she took a picture of me. I didn’t see it coming.
Gionee P5 Mini 1

“This is quite clear!” She was surprised. “The camera is so clear.”
“Is it?” I asked and continued “With a 5megapixel rear camera and a 2-megapixel front camera, the Gionee P5 Mini does way better than other phones within this range. From the automatic face beauty that operates in its selfie camera to the automatic LED flash that is attached to the rear camera.”
She took one or two selfies and then her facial expression nudged me to go on.

“With four processors (quad core), multitasking is the new normal. The fully charged battery of the Gionee P5 Mini can hold up to 1800 (mAh) milliampere hour of charge. Combined with a lot of smart power management options, you can always be in power especially on the “extreme mode” where power consumption comes close to a standstill while keeping only the vitals of calls, message, clock and contacts alive.”
“I love the phone and I love you.”
Launched only last week, Gionee’s newest phone model, the P5mini is already making a name for itself and gathering momentum in all the spaces where phones play. An excellent combination of technology and elegance, the P5 Mini can be as flashy as it can be discrete, as loud as it can be silent; deliberately designed to fit occasions and it is available at Konga on http://www.konga.com/catalogsearch/result/?q=gionee&is_konga=1

How To Track An Iphone Location MOST EASIEST TRICK

cking an iPhone is very easy with its built-in GPS and a plethora of tracking apps. You can use Find My iPhone to track your own iPhone if it's been lost or stolen. If you want to share your location with friends and family, the Find My Friends app will let you track anyone that you share your information with.

Method One of Two:
Tracking Your Own iPhone
Edit

1
Open Find My iPhone on another device. There are several ways that you can do this:
Visit icloud.com/find from any computer. Log in with the same Apple ID that is associated with your iPhone.
Open the Find My iPhone app on another iOS device. Log in as a guest if you're using someone else iOS device.

2
Tap or click on the All Devices button at the top of the screen. Choose an enabled device to search for it. You can add any iOS device to your Apple ID to use it with Find My iPhone.

3
Select your iPhone from the list of devices. Your iPhone will be displayed in this list. Click on it, and your device's information will appear.
If the phone has been powered off, or the battery has died, it will show you the last known location of your phone, but will not be able to show you the current address.

4
Send a notification. From your iPhone's info window, you can send an alert. If your phone has slipped between the cushions, or left in your jacket, this makes it easy to find. For two minutes, a loud alert will sound—even if you've muted your phone.

5
Track your phone. If you're using iOS 6 or later, click Lost Mode in your phone's info window.
You'll be asked to enter an unlock code for your phone. Use a random number set that's not tied to you: no SSN, no birthdate, driver's license number, or anything that is personal.
You may also enter a message and contact phone number.
If your iPhone is online, it will immediately be locked, and you can see your phone's current location, as well as any changes in location. If your phone is offline, it will lock immediately if it's powered up, you'll be notified via email, and you'll be able to track your phone's position.

6
Erase all your data. Should you not be able to locate your phone and fear that someone may be compromising your personal data, click on the Erase iPhone button in the phone's info window. This will erase all data, but you will not be able to use Find My iPhone to locate your phone once that happens.
Should you later recover your phone, you can restore your data through your iTunes backup.

Microsoft Wanted To Buy Facebook For $24 billlion But Mark Zuckerbarg says No

Microsoft spent $26.2 billion to take over LinkedIn, and if you think the software giant is spending too much money, here’s something that could make you change your mind.

Redmond was ready to pay almost as much money on taking over Facebook a long time ago when the social network wasn’t really this popular, but according to recent reports, it was Mark Zuckerberg who refused the deal.

Former Microsoft CEO Steve Ballmer revealed in an interview with CNBC on Friday that his company was interested in buying Facebook when it was “itsy-bitsy” and the amount of money it would have paid reached $24 billion. Zuckerberg refused, though, and considering where Facebook is right now, he clearly made the right decision.

“Oh I think $24 billion when the company was itsy-bitsy and he said no. And I respect that,” Ballmer, who is now the owner of the Los Angeles Clippers, revealed.

Four Ways To Hack And Crack Facebook Username And Password

HOW TO
4 Ways to Crack a Facebook Password & How to Protect Yourself from Them

Despite the security concerns that have plagued Facebook for years, most people are sticking around and new members keep on joining. This has led Facebook to break records numbers with over one billion monthly active users as of October 2012—and around 600 million active daily users.

We share our lives on Facebook. We share our birthdays and our anniversaries. We share our vacation plans and locations. We share the births of our sons and the deaths of our fathers. We share our most cherished moments and our most painful thoughts. We divulge every aspect of our lives. We even clamor to see the latest versions even before they're ready for primetime.

But we sometimes forget who's watching.

We use Facebook as a tool to connect, but there are those people who use that connectivity for malicious purposes. We reveal what others can use against us. They know when we're not home and for how long we're gone. They know the answers to our security questions. People can practically steal our identities—and that's just with the visible information we purposely give away through our public Facebook profile.

Image via Digital Trends
The scariest part is that as we get more comfortable with advances in technology, we actually become more susceptible to hacking. As if we haven't already done enough to aid hackers in their quest for our data by sharing publicly, those in the know can get into our emails and Facebook accounts to steal every other part of our lives that we intended to keep away from prying eyes.

In fact, you don't even have to be a professional hacker to get into someone's Facebook account.

It can be as easy as running Firesheep on your computer for a few minutes. In fact, Facebook actually allows people to get into someone else's Facebook account without knowing their password. All you have to do is choose three friends to send a code to. You type in the three codes, and voilà—you're into the account. It's as easy as that.

In this article I'll show you these, and a couple other ways that hackers (and even regular folks) can hack into someone's Facebook account. But don't worry, I'll also show you how to prevent it from happening to you.

Method 1
Reset the Password
The easiest way to "hack" into someone's Facebook is through resetting the password. This could be easier done by people who are friends with the person they're trying to hack.

The first step would be to get your friend's Facebook email login. If you don't already know it, try looking on their Facebook page in the Contact Info section.
Next, click on Forgotten your password? and type in the victim's email. Their account should come up. Click This is my account.
It will ask if you would like to reset the password via the victim's emails. This doesn't help, so press No longer have access to these?
It will now ask How can we reach you? Type in an email that you have that also isn't linked to any other Facebook account.
It will now ask you a question. If you're close friends with the victim, that's great. If you don't know too much about them, make an educated guess. If you figure it out, you can change the password. Now you have to wait 24 hours to login to their account.
If you don't figure out the question, you can click on Recover your account with help from friends. This allows you to choose between three and five friends.

It will send them passwords, which you may ask them for, and then type into the next page. You can either create three to five fake Facebook accounts and add your friend (especially if they just add anyone), or you can choose three to five close friends of yours that would be willing to give you the password.

How to Protect Yourself
Use an email address specifically for your Facebook and don't put that email address on your profile.
When choosing a security question and answer, make it difficult. Make it so that no one can figure it out by simply going through your Facebook. No pet names, no anniversaries—not even third grade teacher's names. It's as easy as looking through a yearbook.
Learn about recovering your account from friends. You can select the three friends you want the password sent to. That way you can protect yourself from a friend and other mutual friends ganging up on you to get into your account.
Method 2
Use a Keylogger
Software Keylogger

A software keylogger is a program that can record each stroke on the keyboard that the user makes, most often without their knowledge. The software has to be downloaded manually on the victim's computer. It will automatically start capturing keystrokes as soon as the computer is turned on and remain undetected in the background. The software can be programmed to send you a summary of all the keystrokes via email.

CNET has Free Keylogger, which as the title suggests, is free. If this isn't what you're looking for, you can search for other free keyloggers or pay for one.

Hardware Keylogger

These work the same way as the software keylogger, except that a USB drive with the software needs to be connected to the victim's computer. The USB drive will save a summary of the keystrokes, so it's as simple as plugging it to your own computer and extracting the data. You can look through Keelog for prices, but it's bit higher than buying the software since you have the buy the USB drive with the program already on it.

How to Protect Yourself
Use a firewall. Keyloggers usually send information through the internet, so a firewall will monitor your computer's online activity and sniff out anything suspicious.
Install a password manager. Keyloggers can't steal what you don't type. Password mangers automatically fill out important forms without you having to type anything in.
Update your software. Once a company knows of any exploits in their software, they work on an update. Stay behind and you could be susceptible.
Change passwords. If you still don't feel protected, you can change your password bi-weekly. It may seem drastic, but it renders any information a hacker stole useless.

Phishing
This option is much more difficult than the rest, but it is also the most common method to hack someone's account. The most popular type of phishing involves creating a fake login page. The page can be sent via email to your victim and will look exactly like the Facebook login page. If the victim logs in, the information will be sent to you instead of to Facebook. This process is difficult because you will need to create a web hosting account and a fake login page.

The easiest way to do this would be to follow our guide on how to clone a website to make an exact copy of the facebook login page. Then you'll just need to tweak the submit form to copy / store / email the login details a victim enters. If you need help with the exact steps, there are detailed instructions available by Alex Long here on Null Byte. Users are very careful now with logging into Facebook through other links, though, and email phishing filters are getting better every day, so that only adds to this already difficult process. But, it's still possible, especially if you clone the entire Facebook website.

How to Protect Yourself
Don't click on links through email. If an email tells you to login to Facebook through a link, be wary. First check the URL (Here's a great guide on what to look out for). If you're still doubtful, go directly to the main website and login the way you usually do.
Phishing isn't only done through email. It can be any link on any website / chat room / text message / etc. Even ads that pop up can be malicious. Don't click on any sketchy looking links that ask for your information.
Use anti-virus & web security software, like Norton or McAfee.

Stealing Cookies
Cookies allow a website to store information on a user's hard drive and later retrieve it. These cookies contain important information used to track a session that a hacker can sniff out and steal if they are on the same Wi-Fi network as the victim. They don't actually get the login passwords, but they can still access the victim's account by cloning the cookies, tricking Facebook into thinking the hacker's browser is already authenticated.

Image via Wikimedia Commons
Firesheep is a Firefox add-on that sniffs web traffic on an open Wi-Fi connection. It collects the cookies and stores them in a tab on the side of the browser.

From there, the hacker can click on the saved cookies and access the victim's account, as long as the victim is still logged in. Once the victim logs out, it is impossible for the hacker to access the account.

A Couple More Facebook Hacks
For those with a bit more technical skill, check out the Same Origin Policy Facebook hack and the somewhat easier, Facebook Password Extractor. We will continue add more Facebook hacks in the near future, so keep coming back here.

How to Protect Yourself
On Facebook, go to your Account Settings and check under Security. Make sure Secure Browsing is enabled. Firesheep can't sniff out cookies over encrypted connections like HTTPS, so try to steer away from HTTP.
Full time SSL. Use Firefox add-ons such as HTTPS-Everywhere or Force-TLS.
Log off a website when you're done. Firesheep can't stay logged in to your account if you log off.
Use only trustworthy Wi-Fi networks. A hacker can be sitting across from you at Starbucks and looking through your email without you knowing it.
Use a VPN. These protect against any sidejacking from the same WiFi network, no matter what website you're on as all your network traffic will be encrypted all the way to your VPN provider.
Protecting Yourself: Less Is More
Social networking websites are great ways to stay connected with old friends and meet new people. Creating an event, sending a birthday greeting and telling your parents you love them are all a couple of clicks away.

Facebook isn't something you need to steer away from, but you do need to be aware of your surroundings and make smart decisions about what you put up on your profile. The less information you give out on Facebook for everyone to see, the more difficult you make it for hackers.

If your Facebook account ever gets hacked, check out our guide on getting your hacked Facebook account back for information on restoring your account.

Bonus: If you're interested in who's checking you out, there are some ways you can (kindof) track who's viewed your Facebook profile.
